Those who are most at risk are: - people who have "unprotected sex" with someone who has HIV. - people who share needles, syringes or other equipment to inject drugs or medicine with someone who has HIV. - babies can potentially become infected during their mother's pregnancy, during delivery or after birth in the immediate post-partum period. they can also become infected through breastfeeding. - health care and maintenance providers who may be exposed to blood and body fluids.

GREAT ATTITUDE, INITIATIVE, VALUES AND EXCELLENCE (GIVE)

 

G.I.V.E held ten (10) workshops for public officers between the months of May and July 2011. There were approximately twenty-five (25) persons from various Ministries/Departments at each workshop. The objective of the workshops was to improve attitudes in the workplace and to promote standards of appropriate behaviour.  Some areas of professional conduct discussed were attendance, honesty & integrity, dress and appearance, communication, performance and customer service.
